Pulse Generator for Ferroelectric Switching in Multiferroic BiFeO3

Here you are another concrete application of PG-1000 Pulse Generator for Ferroelectric Switching in Multiferroic BiFeO3 (sold in US in cooperation with Berkeley Nucleonics and named Model-765):

Toward Intrinsic Ferroelectric Switching in Multiferroic BiFeO3

Thanks to the capability of PG-1000 pulse generator to deliver 5Vpp amplitude – 70ps rise and fall time pulses, the researchers were able to access timescales very rarely accessed in pulsed, voltage-current measurements. The video shows the details of the experiment and how the PG-1000 was adopted into the experiment setup.

The PG-1000 pulse generator combines a fast rise and fall time of transitions (<70 ps transition time) and 5Vpp amplitude. Architecture provides the possibility to generate advanced pulse sequences, such as double pulse or quad pulse, with fully independent timing parameters. The maximum repetition rate of Pulse Rider Pulse Generator is 800MHz and the minimum pulse width is 300 ps @ 5V

The full paper Pulse Generator for Ferroelectric Switching in Multiferroic BiFeO3 is available on APS (American Physical Society) website

Arbitrary Waveform Generator: up to 32 Channels

A quick video to introduce the unique capability of AWG-4000 series to synchronize multiple units and build an Arbitrary Waveform Generator up to 32 Channels.

Active Technologies AWG-4000 Waveform Generators allow multiple unit synchronization (up to 4 units) combining 32 analog and 128 digital channels (Markers).

The output signal can reach a maximum amplitude of 24Vpp (on high impedance load) and thanks to the hardware offset control, it is possible shift the output signal from 0 to 24V down to 0 to -24V, for a total output voltage window of 48V.

By this system it’s possible generate up to 32 fully synchronized pulses, with a maximum amplitude of 24V and a minimum width of 3 ns.

The powerful sequencer with advanced conditional jumps, allows the user to create complex  scenario and build test sequences for automated test benches.

Active Technologies products are fully supported by a worldwide network of distributors.

The World of Arbitrary Waveform Generators

AWG webinar

The event has already passed. You can see recorded webinar on YouTube link below

Active Technologies is pleased to invite American customers to the new webitar “The world of Arbitrary Waveform Generators“, hosted by Berkeley Nucleonics on Wednesday, June 30th.

The AWG-5000 series is now sold in North America by a dual brand cooperation, through the historical partner Berkeley Nucleonics.

The Model-685 is the world’s fastest 16 bit Arbitrary Waveform Generator. Available in 2, 4 or 8 channel configuration, it delivers unique features like the 5Vpp output amplitude in combination with 110 ps rise time.

The real time sample rate of 6.16 GS/s in combination with 16 bit vertical resolution, allow the Model-685 to generate real time signals beyond 2 GHz bandwidth. Up to 32 digital channels can be synchronized with the 8 analog ones, making the Model-685 the perfect Arbitrary Waveform Generator for physics experiments and semiconductor characterization.

The new RF Mode feature allows the user to generate up to 2 modulated carriers, with a maximum frequency of 6 GHz, addressing Quantum computer and Radar applications.

The fast rise time of 110ps at the maximum amplitude of 5Vpp allow the users to generate sub-nano second pulses with programmable rise / fall time and amplitude.

Founded in 1963, Berkeley Nucleonics constantly aims to improve and iterate upon its ever-increasing library of Test and Measurement instruments. Our line of products can be found in research, medical, business and military environments around the world, well regarded for their longevity and versatility.
